About Dr. Savage
Blake Savage, DPM, MPH, is a podiatrist practicing at Orthopedic Foot & Ankle Institute in Henderson, Nevada. Dr. Savage has received extensive and comprehensive training in all aspects of foot and ankle surgery, including reconstruction, limb salvage, trauma, and elective surgery. Having lived in various places across the country during his life, he is happy to now call Las Vegas his home.
Dr. Savage attended Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Russian. He went on to earn his medical degree from the College of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery at Des Moines University in Des Moines, Iowa. It was at Des Moines University that he pursued his interest in population health and concurrently received his Master of Public Health. He further completed a three-year surgical residency in St. Louis, Missouri, before finishing his advanced surgical fellowship training in Roanoke, Virginia.
During his training, Dr. Savage has been involved in clinical trials developing and testing novel medical devices, products, and procedures in concordance with the FDA to further explore new treatment practices. He has also coauthored peer-reviewed surgical publications on topics such as cavovarus deformity and rheumatoid arthritis.
Outside of work, Dr. Savage enjoys spending time with his wife and dog. He is an avid runner and enjoys any activities that take him into the mountains. He and his wife also enjoy traveling and tasting new restaurants.
